Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our jewellery, materials, care and shipping
What materials do you use?
We primarily craft our jewellery from high-grade German Silver, a copper-zinc-nickel alloy known for its durability and antique silver finish. Our stones are premium American Diamonds (CZ) and semi-precious beads, hand-set to mimic the brilliance of real gemstones. All items are lead-free.
What's your return policy?
We offer a 14-day return policy for most items. You can return necklaces, bangles, and sets within 14 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange, provided they are unworn and in their original packaging.
Important: For hygiene reasons, earrings and body jewellery are non-returnable unless they arrive faulty.
How can I exchange an item?
If your piece isn’t quite right (e.g., the necklace length doesn’t suit your outfit), simply email us at hello@munvisascreations.com within 14 days.
We will guide you through the return process and help you choose a replacement item of the same value.

How long does shipping take?
Standard orders typically arrive within 3 to 5 working days. If you select Next Day Delivery before 1pm, your jewellery will be with you by the next working day.

We will evaluate the issue and make it right by sending a replacement or issuing a refund.

Is German Silver real silver?
No — despite the name, German Silver (also called Alpaca or Nickel Silver) doesn’t actually contain any silver. It’s an alloy of copper, zinc and nickel with a bright, silvery finish similar to sterling silver, which is where the name comes from. It’s prized in costume jewellery for its durability and antique-style shine at a fraction of the cost of precious metals.
What's the difference between German Silver and Sterling Silver?
Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver and carries the cost and softness of a precious metal. German Silver contains no silver at all — it’s a copper-zinc-nickel alloy chosen for its strength, tarnish resistance, and similar bright finish. It’s a popular choice for statement and occasion jewellery because it holds detailed, heavier designs well without the price tag of sterling silver.
Is American Diamond the same as a real diamond?
No — American Diamond (also known as CZ, or cubic zirconia) is a diamond simulant. It’s cut and polished to mimic the brilliance and sparkle of a real diamond, but it’s a lab-created stone rather than a natural gemstone. It’s the industry standard for costume and occasion jewellery because it delivers the same sparkle at a fraction of the price.
Will my jewellery tarnish or irritate my skin?
Like most costume jewellery, German Silver can tarnish over time, especially with prolonged contact with moisture, perfume, or sweat. To keep it looking its best, put jewellery on after applying perfume or lotion, and store pieces in a dry pouch when not in use. All our pieces are lead-free, but as with any base-metal jewellery, we’d recommend a patch test first if you have particularly sensitive skin.
How do I clean and care for my jewellery?
Wipe your piece gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing to remove any oils or residue. Avoid contact with water, perfume, and hairspray where possible, and store each piece separately in a soft pouch or lined box to prevent scratching and tarnishing. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the finish and stones.
What occasions is Indian costume jewellery suitable for?
Our pieces are designed to work as hard as you do — from weddings, Diwali, and Eid celebrations to mehndi ceremonies and everyday styling. Statement sets and heavier necklaces suit bridal and festive occasions, while our lighter earrings and pieces are just as at home dressing up a weekday outfit.
